City of Tomahawk
Outdoor Recreation Plan
2010-2015
This plan assesses the existing outdoor recreation system of city parks, and school facilities in the City of Tomahawk. Recreational needs will be identified based upon public input, national & state guidelines, and Tomahawk & NCWRPC staff analysis. The Tomahawk Parks Committee will review all of this information and guide the overall direction of recommendations to improve the recreation system over the next five years.
Submission of this report to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources establishes eligibility for Tomahawk to apply for a variety of Federal and State Aids to improve the park system.
Non-profit groups, foundations, and the general public may also use this document to coordinate their own private efforts for developing outdoor recreation facilities.
